Melissa Webb

Mrs. Webb is a proud CUHSD graduate from Branham High School and is happy to be back serving the community that inspired her love of theatre after spending 13 years at Leland High School, 8 of which she taught theatre. She received her Bachelors in Theatre and English from UC Irvine, where she even founded her own playwriting and production company. Upon her return to the Bay Area, she went on to get her teaching credential from San Jose State University while also working at local theatres like City Lights, San Jose Stage, San Jose Repertory Theatre, Silicon Valley Shakespeare Dragon Productions, and Starting Arts. She has been involved in over 50, having directed 18. Past theatre credits include: Directing, Stage Manager, Wardrobe Crew, Artistic Director, Run Crew, and Technical Director. However, her directorial favorites include Steel Magnolias (LHS), Heathers (LHS), The Laramie Project (LHS), Young Frankenstein (LHS), Arsenic and Old Lace (LHS), The Great Gatsby (PHS), and Shrek (PHS). 

Alex Hsiung

Alex is an alumnus of Leigh High School, and recent graduate of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Throughout his high school career, he worked as a technician on the productions at Leigh, primarily focusing on audio and stage management. Notably, he has won awards with the International Thespian Society during his time here for audio design. Recently, he has worked with many local theatre companies in the Bay Area, and even Santa Cruz Shakespeare.

Subashinee Krishnamurthy

Subashinee Krishnamurthy is a Bay Area–based scenic designer and builder with over two decades of experience creating immersive environments for theater, dance, cultural events, short films, and live performances. As the founder of Vishwakarmaa – The Design Theater, she combines artistic vision with hands-on fabrication, translating stories into engaging stage environments through custom scenic design and large-scale set construction. Her work spans more than 100 productions, collaborating with dance companies, community organizations, and performing arts groups across the Bay Area. She has designed award-stage presentations, theatrical environments, and custom installations, including scenic work presented by the Sanhiti Dance Group at the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival. Her collaborations with Siddhi Creative and other arts organizations reflect her ability to merge aesthetics, engineering, and practical execution. Largely self-taught, Subashinee brings expertise in scenic carpentry, welding, and fabrication, believing that thoughtful design can transform both spaces and the way audiences experience performance.
