What is it?

  • Serves as Prospect’s Drama Club

  • An internationally recognized organization of theatre students that works similar to an honors society, but for thespians

Why Join?

Theatre Leadership: Play an active role in the decision making regarding Prospect Theatre (show selection, field trips, approving tech and publicity designs, etc.) whether you are a member or officer.
Recognition & Prestige: Earn Thespian points for all the work you already do onstage and off. Once inducted, you’ll be eligible for recognitions, awards, and other resume + college application boosting opportunities.
Theatre Competitions: Opportunities to compete at the local, state, and national level where you can earn recognition, awards, and more.
Scholarships & Grants: Members can apply for numerous scholarships and educational grants offered through the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA).
College Auditions & Networking: Students can audition for college theater programs at the International Thespian Festival and access educational resources for networking and development.
Thespys (Technical & Performance Awards): Eligibility to qualify for the International Thespian Excellence Awards (Thespys), which recognize the highest level of achievement in school theater.
Networking and Community: Access to a broad community of peers and professionals through local troupes andinternational festivals.
Official Membership Items: Receipt of an official membership pin, card, certificate, and Dramatics magazine.
Discounts: Special rates for plays, workshops, and EdTA conferences.

Interested in becoming a member? Here’s what you need to do:

  • Fill out the following interest form

  • Start attending meetings on Thursdays

    • Key meeting is Thurs 5/21 (Voting on ITS officers)

 

Interested in a leadership role? We need officers for 2026-27!!!                   

  • Fill out the following application

  • Mrs. Webb will review it

  • Then, you’ll pitch yourself and your qualifications to ITS members
